What this paper is about

Edit What this paper is about Content
In this paper, we will examine the histories of U.S. empire focusing on three key themes: foundational violence, constructing modernity and race, and critiques of modern America and freedom. Rather than undertaking a general view of sequential events found in U.S. history, we will delve into certain flash points to think through an important question each week, all while keeping in mind what it means to be a student of U.S. histories here in Aotearoa New Zealand and the wider Pacific.
